Website Development For Beginners
A beginner-friendly, hands-on course that teaches you to build real websites from scratch using the three core technologies that power the entire internet, HTML for structure, CSS for design, and JavaScript for interactivity. Across 4 modules and 12–16 hours of practical lessons, you will progress from understanding how the web works to writing your first lines of code, styling pages with colours and fonts, adding interactive features like dark mode toggles, and finally planning and building a complete, polished website dedicated to a Zimbabwean community hero or organisation. No prior experience is needed, just a laptop, a browser, and the curiosity to create. By the end, you will walk away with a real project in your portfolio, a WeCodeZW certificate, and the confidence to call yourself a web developer.

Web Design — Making the Internet Beautiful
Web Design is the art of making websites not just functional, but genuinely beautiful, intuitive, and enjoyable to use. In this course, you will go beyond writing code and start thinking like a designer — learning how to use colour, typography, spacing, and layout to guide a user's eye, communicate a message, and create experiences that feel effortless. From understanding why certain colours evoke certain emotions, to sketching wireframes on paper before touching a keyboard, to building pixel-perfect layouts that look stunning on both a phone and a laptop screen, this course teaches you the visual language of the modern web. By the end, you won't just be someone who can build a website — you'll be someone who can make it look like it belongs there

The Architect’s Blueprint (Wireframing & UI Design)
You'll be introduced to wireframing — the practice of sketching the layout of a website using simple boxes on paper, mapping out where every element will live before any code is touched. Using the "Box Thinking" method, you'll learn to look at any website and immediately see it as a collection of organised boxes: a Header box, a Hero box, a Content box, and a Footer box. You'll also get your first introduction to UX (User Experience) — asking the important question of who is using your site and how, considering whether your design works just as well on a small phone screen as it does on a laptop. Your tools for this lesson are simple: a pen, a piece of paper, and a Community Hero from Zimbabwe worth celebrating.
